A Snowy Hike through Golden Gate Canyon

Anna and I have been itching to use our snowshoes for a while now. Despite recent weather events, Golden Gate Canyon was not quite usable by snowshoes. It’s okay though, it was still enough snow for Tilly to roll around in while we hiked.

Starting at the Blue Grouse Trail and moving on to the Mule Deer Trail, we took a short hike around Golden Gate Canyon State Park. We saw some beautiful views of evergreen trees, rock formations, and an excellent aspen grove. We made the best of it, despite our initial intentions.

We’ll try snowshoeing again another day.
