Demolition of the Sugar Factory Smokestack

After weeks of build up, it was all over in a couple of seconds. An iconic and historical sight, just down the street from our home in Brighton, was demolished.

The Great Western Sugar Factory smokestack, in the year of its 100th anniversary, was demolished due to safety concerns. At 8 o’clock on a Sunday morning, a massive explosion knocked over the smokestack in view of many Brighton residents, and surprised a few others (mostly meaning our neighbors who were unaware of the demolition happening and freaked out when they heard the explosion).

Anyway, if you print this out, you can turn it into a really neat flip-book.
