Hiking in Mount Falcon Park

Are you a fan of hiking before a concert? Then you’d probably really enjoy Mount Falcon Park in Morrison, Colorado.

Entering from the East Trailhead, views of Red Rocks Amphitheater and downtown Denver are prominent. The trail, at least the Castle Trail to the Turkey Trot Trail loop, isn’t too difficult, but it is mostly exposed (except for a section of the Turkey Trot which is really, really nice). On a hot, cloudless day, make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Be prepared for some awesome views.

Next time we go back, we’ll start at the West Trailhead and see the ruins of John Brisben Walker’s Castle and some other notable landmarks.
