Pecos National Historic Park

Recently, Anna and I took a three-day trip to El Paso, Texas for a family wedding. It’s a long drive from Denver to El Paso, but there are certainly stops that make it worth it.

If, for whatever reason, you are traveling through northern New Mexico and happen to pass through the town of Pecos, make sure you take a stop at Pecos National Historical Park. With the mesas in the distance and the ancient kivas surrounding you, a walk through this cultural monument is a great learning experience. Plus, you get to climb down inside of ancient kivas, which is pretty neat.
