Portraits at the Denver Zoo

Growing up near the San Diego Zoo Safari Park kind of spoiled me for zoological experiences. I think I averaged visiting the Safari Park at least twice a year while I lived in Escondido, and I always had a great time exploring the park with friends and family. When I finally had the opportunity to visit the Denver Zoo, I figured it would be a pretty average experience and I’d be able to see everything in a few hours. That, however, was untrue. The Denver Zoo is a fairly large park with plenty to see and do. The layout is easy to navigate without being too predictable, and best yet, the animals at the zoo are well taken care of and the zoo itself does a ton of research and conservation work. Anna and I had an awesome time trying to explore every hidden nook around the park, and we only left as the park was closing for the day.
