Snorkeling at Silk Caye

So, for my second time snorkeling, I must say: Belize is awesome.

While we may have made the mistake of waiting until the last moment to book a snorkeling trip, we were not disappointed with Splash Dive Center (www.splashbelize.com). If you’re glasses-prone (like I am) you’ll enjoy the fact that they have different prescription snorkel gear available, included in the price of the trip. (Note: The price of the trip may vary based on time of year and number of people in your party. If you can plan ahead, try to find a group of people to snorkel with to keep costs down.)

Silk Caye was beautiful. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, showing an assortment of different sea creatures as we paddled around the Caye. At one point in the adventure, Anna was swimming about six-inches above a basketball-sized octopus (and she was super excited about it).

I would say that this was the most memorable trip from Belize. I would definitely do it again.
