A Snowy Fourth of July Trail Hike
On a snowy mid-January morning, we decided to go for a hike on a very popular trail just outside of Nederland, Colorado. The Fourth of July Trail, part of the Indian Peaks Wilderness, was a great getaway for Anna, Morsel, Chelsea, the dog she was pet-sitting (I forget his name), and me. The trail was fairly deep with snow (6 or 8 feet or so) but the sights were beautiful.
We hiked around for a couple hours until we decided that continuing uphill would be too difficult (or our feet would freeze off) and then turned back for lunch in Ned.
