Camping in Vedauwoo

Vedauwoo is one of my favorite places. It’s the hidden gem of Southern Wyoming.

If you’re a fan of unique landscapes and (mostly) secluded campsites, Vedauwoo provides. Camping is free in Medicine Bow National Forest, which happens to be along the same dirt road that connects with the paid campsites inside of Vedauwoo. In the daytime, hiking around Vedauwoo is spectacular. At night, the stars are phenomenal. You can climb the landmark Turtle Rock, or you can walk around snapping photos of wildlife and nature.

Two hours from Denver, 30 minutes from Cheyenne or Laramie. Make it happen. It’s worth it.
